Nanbudo Kaikan.
From 1992 to 2000 the Nanbudo Kaikan was located approximately 80 km north of Toulouse, near the village of Dufort La Capelette.
Nanbu Doshu Soke organized international workshops there where, for once, the nanbudokas came to him and not the other way around, but this dojo has not existed for many years.
Nanbu Doshu Soke has always traveled a lot to bring the nanbudo to each country. During his life he must have traveled 400,000 km for that: that’s the distance from the earth to the moon !!! And this with the time differences, meteorological and culinary.

From the 2015s, Nanbu Doshu Soke could not travel as much and the need reappeared to have his Dojo to allow the multiplication of small international courses, open to all, from the highest grades to beginners as he had always wanted. But he continued to the end, even traveling less, to lead international training courses, including the legendary Playa de Aro course during the summer of 2019 for the 45th consecutive year.
An opportunity has reappeared in Toulouse, in the south-west of France, not far from the dojo mentioned above.
The Dojo is located in the historic center of this 4th largest French city, former capital of the south and a cultural hotspot.
It’s a small downtown dojo. Starting from professional office premises, everything had to be rebuilt to make it a Dojo, while respecting the administrative requirements linked to its location within the perimeter of a classified site.
The first works started in the fall of 2017.
It took a financial investment and a lot of work in which the Nanbudokas as well as the friends of Yoshinao Nanbu Doshu Soke participated.
The works were able to start thanks to the contribution of the WNF, World Nanbudo Federation, which released funds that had been set aside for the creation of a dojo for Nanbu Doshu Soke after a vote of the General Assembly in 2010.
The inauguration of the Dojo took place on February 16, 2019 as part of an international training course.
The 1st training course in this dojo, and last training course to which Yoshinao Nanbu Doshu Soke came took place on February 1 and 2, 2020.
